Thinking of changing to BMW 530d Automatic Tourer

I currently tow a Lunar Clubman SB with a E39 BMW 525D Maual Tourer Fuel consumsion when towing is 27 mpg motorway driving when not towing 46mpg Has any had any experience towing simular van with a E 39 BMW 530D Automatic I am interested to hear of any
problems and what fuel consunsion has been acheived.
