Bradcote Modus XL!!!!!

Can anyone offer any advice?

We have had a Bradcote Modus XL for 18 months and during a recent holiday found ourselves in a situation where quite literally the rain was pouring in from the roof and sides.

Bradcote have informed us that this is quite normal and in fact is a requirement in order to ensure waterproofing for future use. Am I losing the plot and is this genuinely the truth as I honestly cannot believe that this is the case????
