Touring sites near Chatham Historic Dockyard Kent

Hi Everyone we plan to visit Chatham Dockyard and visit other places of interest in that area in 2015. Can anyone recommend a good touring site Club, CL or commercial which is within a easy drive of the dockyard and ideally there should be somewhere where
we can give our dogs a good off the road walks near the site.
