Motorhome quality
Reposting back here because it was previously moved for some reason.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to compare motorhomes from various manufacturers and I must say I was unimpressed by the quality of most offerings!
The new 'budget Baileys' weren't that 'budget pricewise, but were definitely 'bottom budget' quality wise. The upholstery was so badly put together it was quite shocking!
Even the Hymers disappointed. One particular example (a £70,000 model on a Mercedes chassis) seemed to utilise a plastic bowl from poundstretcher as it's sink in the washroom!
The stars were the Bessacars. Nice quality and well put together.
All in all I thought the quality of the fiittings was lightweight and decent workmanship was lacking in most makes. Wondered if it might be something to do with the never ending quest for better mpg and lower emissions.
Be interested to know what everyone else thinks.
