Awning pitches without awnings

Has anybody else tried to book an awning pitch (so you can use your awning) but could only grt a non awning pitch, then on arival to site find most of the awning pitches taken with units with no awnings. are people being fair if n/a pitches are available
at the tine of booking. whats your thoughts.
