Water drain

I usually open the drain valve then put the water pump on for a few seconds so that it blows out some of the remaining water.
Beyond that, I don't think you need to be too obsessive......a small quantity of water will have plenty of room to expand if if freezes.

close all the taps except the shower and the drain tap one remove the shower head and blow down the shower hose you should hear any water in the pipework gurgling as it is forced out of the drainage tap[s] .it works for me i have used this method for the
last few years and had no problems overwinter0 -
I agree with Autoaddict. Can't recommend the Floe Drainage kit enough. I've used it on my caravan for the past 5 years or so to great effect as well as two Hoselock Autoreels which I have hanging on the outside walls at home to prevent damage during the
winter and it works brilliantly.0 -
Might be a bit late but I would drain the system on the last site, blow down the taps and run the pump for a few seconds. I then leave the taps open half way between hot and cold and drive home with the drain valve still open which should clear any remaining
water.0 -
I drain my hot water tank before I leave any site. When I want to drain down completely I use a short section of half inch hose, open the drain and the taps, push hose on and blow down to clear. With the shower I remove head and blow down the pipework
