Snow problems at Leek

In December I booked Blackshaw Moor for this weekend (29th to 31st). On Monday I had a phone call that the site was closed due to the snow and would not be open for bookings until 2nd April. I thought it a little premature but I know it was bad there (friends
had been the weekend before) so I just thought 'fair enough' and continued to curse our British weather. Yesterday the weather had improved some what so I thought it would be worth a phone call to the site to check conditions. I was told that the pitches were
clear and the access roads were all ok so the site was open. Unfortunately I was also told that it was now fully booked with no availability!!

Whats all that about! Surely the people who had been cancelled should have been called and told the site had reopened if they wanted to attend. I understand that weather conditions have been bad and site wardens have been under pressure this week but there
is surely something very wrong with a booking system that allows this to happen! What do you think?
