Abbey Wood .the smoke

At last the daughter is of to University ,going to UEL docklands in London. traveling from bristol we have decided to overnight at Abbey wood ,ok its the other side of the Thames but never mind.

Question 1:- anyone stayed there, whats the pitfalls

2 with all her stuff leaves us short of space for supplies ,is there a shop near by we can get food etc.
