Today marks the 55th anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly at the age of just 22 years. He was argueably one of the most influencial performers ever, his short career had a massive impact and many performers who followed were hugely influenced by him for decades. We listened to a local radio programme last night which gave a cameo presentation of his career. Even after all these years his music still doesn't sound dated, listening bought back some wonderful memories. I hope there are a few on here who will remember him with affection and a smile on their faces today.
