Stars In Their Eyes?

Now that Club Together has evolved to a point where we even have "contributors" coming onto GC admitting that they have posted rubbish in order to gain stars. Are we not at a point now where the star system should be abandoned? There seems little doubt that
many posters have ceased to visit GC these days, simply because they have had enough of the utter garbage that some people are posting just to gain stars. Surely this behaviour does nothing to enhance the image and credibility of GC.
