Age Concession?

It seems that one of the major differences between the CC and the C&CC, is the fact that the former does not offer an over 55`s age concession and the latter does. I have often wondered why this is so. Perhaps the C&CC are trying to attract the "older" member because it feels the CC is more attractive to that section of the caravanning community, and if so why? I realise that this might well be quite contentious amongst those under the 55 age group. I would just like to understand the C&CC`s objectives in operating such a policy!
