Hi everyone.

My wife and I have just today purchased our first caravan. Towed it home for the first time and absolutely love it. We hope to have plenty of good breaks away and plenty of good memories shared.

We are 29 years old and from mansfield. So I guess quite young on the scene.

We have bought a 2002 coachman amara 530/4 and tow with a 2006 Kia SORENTO XT

Hope to stay around and stay active.

Cheers widdo

Hi Widdo and welcome to Club Together.  Glad you joined us and we look forward to hearing about your trips out.

If you've any questions just browse the index and post where appropriate.

I've resized your image but, if using Photobucket, you need to make sure it's not more than 420 and then copy and paste the actual image not the code.

I've also removed your URL as it gives access to your Photobucket account which you may not want to do as this gives your name and car registration number.  Wink

Lovely thankyou. I couldn't copy and paste as I'm on the mobile blower.

Yes that's great I'm sure I have plenty of tips to pick up on the way. I only towed it for 15 miles home today and mainly A roads. Not sure how I'll cope on B roads but I'm sure I'll find out soon!

Hi and welcome to caravanning and CT. We bought our first van when not much older than yourself and have enjoyed it for the last 26 years so I hope you get the same amount of satisafction from it as us. It allows us and in working dys allowed us to escape
the norm and head out into the countryside, both here and abroad, and find out how wonderful it is out there.

We had an Amara for a number of years in the Noughties and found it to be an excellent van. Don't be afraid of asking any question on here, no matter how stupid or trivial it may sound because we've all been there (and still find ourselves back there from
    time to time).

    Good luck.

    Thanks for the welcomes everyone.

The van is currently on the drive and I'm trying to figure out how it all works. The blown air hearing seems to be really good so that should hopefully persuade us to use it this winter.

I live 5 miles away from Sherwood Forest Holiday Park and I used to go there as a child with my parents in their van many times. So we will book in there in November when it drops to £16 a night.

It's a good idea to have your first trip close to home. Enjoy it.

I remember my first days of caravanning- it was fantastic and still is. Welcome widdo and I wish you many happy outings and at 29 I can't see a reason why you shouldn't have!
