Campervan parking at home

Sounds silly just writing the title  but does anyone know the rules around parking a campervan (soon getting a lwb doblo based raising roof) off road in front of your garden fence at the back of your row of houses? My neighbours are happy about it but as I'm new to all this I want to make sure it's all okay. I've got an outside socket to plug the van into so just checking its alright to do this?

Also what are the rules about sleeping in it outside your property (want to test everything before settng out on my own).
