Bradcot Awning Pump

Having just purchased the Modul Air 390 I remember reading posts here regarding the inadequate length of the 12v supply leads and the differrant methods used to over come this problem including extending the pump outlet hose. Does anyone have any updated
advise on this problem.

We have an Aspire Air 390 on a 7.5mt long caravan. We put the awning in the rail connect the pump to the car battery after popping the bonnet. No problem. Noting where the battery is in the car is useful to position the car. Current car nearside rear of
engine compartment. Previous car under the floor in the boot.

The pump provided by Bradcot draws a fair current, hence the heavier cable size and length. It's not designed to work off a cigarette lighter socket hence the crocodile clips on it. Don't be tempted to extend the leads without considering the current draw
and spec the cable accordingly.

Write your comments here..Thanks for the reply.I appreciate the pump can draw up to 20 amps (240 watts).  I think the idea of extending the outlet hose seems a good alternative IF the car battery isn't conveniently close to the awning valves. I'm sure this
was mentioned in a previose post but can't fit it !!
