Sandringham and dogs

Hi

We are new to caravaning and are hoping to stay at Sandringham, where we have been told dogs are allowed on site. However we have been made aware that there is a possibility that dogs can pick up a serious illness, albeit only at certain times of the year.
Could any dog owners please give me your thoughts. This topic may have been discussed else where???
