Mirrors Yes or No

Picked this topic up on another thread.
I am a field services engineer (white van man with spanners). I have been working all this bank holiday weekend. Glancing at all you lucky lot towing your caravans behind you, with envy. I started to notice, how many 4x4’s did not have mirror extensions.
The one which I thought had no chance of seeing that motor cyclist or others was a unit which consisted of a Disco and a very big Hobby. Last season a work colleague got pulled over by the police whilst towing his twin axel Bailey, with his Mitsubishi Pajero
LWB without mirror extensions. I can’t remember if he got points but he did get a fine.
