Forced to look elsewhere.

We have just returned from a weekend away at a site which is part of the Bestparks chain. Why you ask, because the CC sites we were interested in had long gone with block bookings. We were at Poston Mill at Peterchurch in Herefordshire. We had a fully serviced
pitch, so we could fully test the new caravan, shower etc. All worked as expected.

The weather, that was another story, I got wet leaving home, I got wet arriving, and I got wet leaving. Yes your assumptions are correct it did nothing but rain?

On a brighter note the eatery which is sort of attached to the site but is not? We had a roast beef dinner and could not finish it, just too much. That did not include a starter or pudding. All for £20 inc. drinks for the 2 of us, value at its best.

Saturday we went to Oakchurch, Sunday Hay on Wye. The OH is from Hay, a sort of coming home homage. There were plenty of empty pitches, as I would assume with the no shows on the CC sites, because of the weather. Pitch cost on par with CC site with fully
serviced, but no annual subscription. Standards for facilities better than CC sites. A choice of pitches, escorted by a warden on a golf buggy.

We have used a few of these parks associated with this chain, and all have been above CC standards. If the club does not alter its booking strategy for booking, why should I pay an annual subscription, to be able to book nothing we want when we have the
dates to book them, which is a maximum of a 8 to 10 week window?

We have been forced to look for CC standard and above chains and sites, because of this strategy?

Will we return yes.
