Tracker and/or Alarm for new Motorhome?

We are about to purchase our first brand new motorhome and have received conflicting advice from even the sales team as to whether to fit an alarm or a tracker for security.  Any comments most welcome.

Our current motorhome has an alarm which has always been ok but the hefty expenditure of a new motorhome is making me nervous!  Also off to France this year and have read some of the horror stories.
