Blocked drain
Hi. We have a second hand Compass Suntour 100 mobile home built in 2006. The shower room sink has no drain hole but is emptied by tipping it up against the wall so draining the sink.
Our problem is the drain of this sink is blocked with what seems to be a potent mix of soap (bar soap) and clumps of a white crumbly material (old tooth paste?) that doesn’t dissolve.
Despite repeatedly tipping in clean warm water and emptying it out the blockage still persists. We’ve also tried blowing air into flexible hose by mouth and sucking blockage material back and forth, and also poking down with a flexible drain rod inside the
plastic tubing but no joy. The drain hole is not visible being deep down in the wall of the shower room and underneath the van there is no rodding eye, which adds to our problem.
Did wonder if an aspiration approach might suck out the blockage but we’re in Spain and nobody has such an aspirator. Can anybody recommend a chemical approach given the drainage is all plastic? Anything else?
Thanks GD
