TVs in caravans

Hi all. I have an old TV which I use in my caravan, which operates on 12 volts or 230 volts. This TV is, to say the least, past it's best and is due to be replaced. As we never go anywhere without mains electrics these days I was wondering if it would be
possible to replace this old set with a normal domestic TV or would this place too greater strain on the caravan's electrics. I would appreciate.any advice on this subject, but please don't get too technical as I have problems with all things electric. Many
