No this is not just a chance to reminisce! Back in the 80's I participated in several years of Economy Runs and indeed pulled off 1st prize on more than one occasion. The event taught me how to use momentum, how to be thinking way ahead whilst driving so
as to avoid unnecessary braking and accelerating and these skills paid off in may ways.

With fuel costs as they now are, and only likely to increase, it would be more than just a trip down memory lane to participate in this worthwhile exercise once again.

Has anyone else a memory of Economy Runs and their lasting benefits on your driving style?
