Skirt in or out?
Have noticed that some folks have their awning skirt inside the awning whilst others seem to leave theirs on the outside. Personally mine is always in but what's yours and any reason why?

In the end, I don't think it makes much difference. In many cases, you don't get a choice - it's how the awning is made, ie where the pegging points are. Some awnings do have the pegging points both sides, giving you the option.
In the past we have usually had the pegging points on the outside, but our new awning will have pegging points only on the inside, so it will be interesting to see how we get on with it.

Do not have a choice with my DWT Zelte awning (German) it has 2 skirts, one folds inside and the groundsheet goes on the top and the other is outside which is pegged down

I once had an awning with two skirts. I always found it difficult to peg as one skirt always got in the way.

....I was very tempted to get a pair of scissors to the one skirting, but never got round to it. In the end I sold the awning on ebay!

I’ve got 2 Isabella awnings and the skirts on them go in with the groundsheet on top.

"In or out?" Sounds like a very topical discussion for this week! I'm "in" a)
because of the way the skirts are cut at the corners it looks so much neater when all tucked in, and b) because a six-pack fits perfectly to hold the skirting in place and I've convinced her-in-doors that I need to buy at least two for each wall.
I'd never really thought of the puddles issue before but that seems another very good reason for buying more six-packs!0 -
I prefer the skirt outside method, But of course we dont use a grass killer. (Groundsheet). --The outside method stops draughts in very strong winds , the pegs can be checked from inside the awning during gales and it is easier to wipe down before packing the awning when leaving site.
Everybody has their own opinions on this subject, there is no right or wrong method.

First time out with our Aspire Air 390 on the caravan, we put the skirt out as we had done on the Fiamma Zip we had on the MH previously. That was on a commercial site. The second and subsequent times we put the skirt in as that was what all the other awnings
on a CC site had done and we thought there might have been a rule about itBoth were on grass pitches as we prefer grass in the summer, with no groundsheet, although if wet we put 2 foam tiles in front of the step to put shoes on before entering the caravan.
With the MH the awning went up in all weathers as we need the space. With the caravan in the winter we tend not to use the awning as we don't sit outside the caravan.
