I am just curious about the sleeping arrangements in modern caravans. Havingbeen caravanning for a lot longer than I care to remember ( 30 + ) years, and always having vans whereby you make the beds up at night, i wonder are there still any British or European
caravans on the market that have this type of lay out, instead of, what is to me a total and complete waste of space, by having the end double bedroom. I can not see any sense, rhyme nor reason for such a set up.

We tourer with a Burstner Vantana, of 5 berth  lay out, with a main lounge at the front that converts into either two rather long 6'- 6" single berths or a rather large double and a rear lounge that converts into a nice szed double with a metal fold up bunk
on the rear wall. We find this layout excellent, as youn have the benefit of two lounge areas and dining areas, which when fully loaded with the family ( wife, son, daughter and M.I.L ) is amply   big enough for us. when only being used by myself and wife
we tend to leave the small lounge up as our sleeping area.To me, having the permanent double bed is a total waste of space and I can not see any benefits in it.
