New To Caravaning and Nervous!
Having been a firm fan of camping but fed up of being rained out, my family decided to take the next step into caravaning. We picked up our Lunar Venus 500/4 in October 2014 and planned our journey back to Scotland with short travelling intervals and several
overnight stops. This allowed us to get used to hitching and unhitching and get used to the general layout, workings and quirks of the van.
We are now looking forward to our next adventure in February and staying at some of the CC sites but also feel very nervous about reversing the caravan onto the pitch. You see, we were VERY lucky to have had drive on pitches when we first collected our caravan
so never had the dreaded experiece of having to reverse. Is it a mortal caravaning sin to position your van as best you can, unhitch and then mannually manouver your unit into position; or can we cry for help and seek assistance from the experienced owners
on the site.
We are booked to attend one of the CC training sessions but this will be after our February adventure.
An suggestions or advice for a nervous reverser?
