Stopping black streaks

I'm looking for something to protect from black streeks on my motorhome, it's parked on my drive on a slope. I've seen a caravan with what looks like a small cover (18 ins wide) fitted in the awning rail and tide off at the bottom. Not sure what
this is used for but it would be ideal for allowing water and natures droppings to run off the roof and not touch the side of the van. Has anyone seen these and know where they might be sourced from?

Perhaps the one you've seen in a home-made one.  It's easy enough to buy the fabric and awning rail beading, and make one yourself.

Thanks ValDa, it could be home made, but it looks very professiona, with eyelets and adjustable cords.

But will a short cover like that stop the black streaks, or will they just move further down the van.  There are specialised motorhome full covers which will give better protection, and have zips to allow you to get inside - again for sale on Amazon.  We've had a caravan cover like the one shown, for about ten years, and it still keeps our caravan streak free!

Ah, the one I'm looking for is much simplier, it's literally 18ins wide and runs to the bottom of the van. It doesn't cover the top at all.

i use a top cover in the winter.

The shape of the roof means even on the level water and debris collects in the middle and will then run off the side, hence the streakin.

Would a caravan/MH skirt do the job? The ones for stopping wind blowing under a caravan into an awning I am thinking of. No reason, I don't think, why one wouldn't fit into the high level awning rail.

do a search for awning rail protecter works as a gutter completely stops black streaks on the sides
