Furred up cold water pipes and taps

I have a problem which I'm hoping someone out there can help me with. It would seem that the cold water system in my caravan has become clogged with limescale, drastically reducing the flow rate. I've replaced the water pump which was too heavily encrusted
to clean. Is there a safe way to descale the system or must I replace the full system including the taps? The caravan in question is an American built Xtreme Lite 5th wheeler that has been in constant use for almost eight years.
