Santa Fe, Tiguan or Freelander?

I've just bought a 1500kg MTPLM caravan and need a new car to pull it. Anyone got experience of the new Santa Fe, the Tiguan or Freelander? I know the Tiguan's weight is on the lower side and only has a space saver spare but does it do the job? I like
the Santa Fe but is its mpg an issue?
