Vandalism at Melrose

What on earth has the Club done to one of the, previously, best sites on the network?  In an act of what I can only describe as vandalism, someone has taken it upon themselves to decimate the trees and bushes on the site that offered a degree of privacy
and soundproofing both to local residents and between the various pitches.  It has completely changed the ambience of the site and has destroyed some natural habitat of the birds.  I'm surprised the Club can get away with this and wonder if they had any consultations
with, for example, the RSSPB, before going ahead.  The bushes have been cut back so much and so badly that I'd imagine some will never recover.  We go regularly to Melrose and while we'll still visit from time to time, I will be looking elsewhere for some
of my weekends that I'd planned.  Let's hope they don't do the same thing elsewhere!
