Roof Boxes

Wasn't sure if this wouldn't have been better in the Tow Cars section, but here goes.

I'm thinking about getting a roof box, mainly to be used when towing. Are there any adverse affects, or is it all positive ?

My feeling is that the extra weight is better on the tow car, rather than in the van. Aerodynamics, if not actually improved, are not really an issue with a van on the back. Raising the cars C of G isn't going to matter much, hardly likely to be doing any
hard cornering with van on back.

Any favoured brands / suppliers ? I'm more inclined toward the Roof Box Co, rather than Halfords/
