Had to go to Tesco (other supermarkets are available) this afternoon to make a distress purchase of Ferro Roche. ( Don't ask).

Elderly couple ahead of me in a black Nissan Xtrail, fitted with towing hook. Chap decides to reverse park it some distance away from store entrance, despite there being plenty of spaces there, including disabled and parents with children spaces.

I was heading for a space closer the entrance, but had to wait while this chap parked. Shades of Reginald Molehusband, back and forth he went, narrowly missed a pedestrian, all to insert his vehicle between the another vehicle and the trolley shelter.

I waited for a while, then gave up and parked down stream from him. As I walked past the now almost parked vehicle, I looked across and shook my head. Rude and judgmental of me, before anyone else points this out.

Behind me, I heard a banging noise, which in retrospect I realised was the passenger, slapping the inside of her window to attract my attention. I ignored this and carried on into store.

Ferro Roche in the pack size I had been sent to purchase were out of stock, so I started to leave the store. Only to be confronted at the exit by a tiny elderly lady, almost apoplectic with rage. I can quote her words verbatim.

'If you have something to say to me, come and say it, don't just shake your head and walk away. My husband is very ill'.

Looking back, I should have apologised, then pointed out that her berating me probably wasn't good for his health either. As it was, I quietly said 'If he's that ill, perhaps he shouldn't be driving', and walked away, with her still ranting at me.
