Changing Towcar?

Hi

My current outfit is a 2005 Nissan Xtrail and a 2008 Bailey Pageant Burgundy. I'm thinking of replacing my Xtrail for a 2008 Kia Sorento, mainly for the increase in bhp from 136 to 168 and the car being 3 years newer. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether
i will experience a significant improvement in "pulling power", bearing in mind the kerbweight of the Kia is higher then the Nissan?
