Motor Home hire in Canada
We are planning to hire an RV in Montreal and travel eastward for about 2 weeks and would appreciate any tips and advice. We will be a party of four adults. We prefer CL type sites in the UK rather than the large parks and wonder what the Canadian sites
are like. Is it like France where RVs can park almost anywhere?
We will be going in September.

I don't know of any CL type sites in Canada. The closest that we got were the government run sites in provincial or national parks, but even the commercial sites had pitches of generous size so one didn't feel hemmed in in any way.
We crossed Canada from Vancouver to Newfoundland in a rented RV in 2014 and came through Montreal in the process. You say that you will be going eastwards, which we did, too. From Montreal we drove up to Quebec (a must-see), thence down to Boston and up the coast back into Canada, through Nova Scotia, taking bits of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island in on the way until we caught the Newfoundland ferry. After touring Newfoundland we finally returned to the mainland and dropped the motorhome off in Halifax. The trip from Montreal until the end of our journey took us three weeks.
