Prefered Pitches

Why don't the Club consider members to be able to book their prefered pitches, some like grass others hardstanding, we tried to book last minute a CC Site but had to take a chance that we may or may not have a hardstanding as we really needed it, alas, you
can book a pitch that could be either or, with the CCC sites you can book exactly what you want if available, the case in question was last Wednesday, we wanted a hardstanding to arrive the following day for five nights at Malvern, no chance, we went online
and booked a Hardstanding at the CCC Site at Malvern, next door to the CC Site, that gave us peace of mind as when we left home we knew exactly what type of pitch that we would have. Why can't the CC Club offer the same ?
