Cobb BBQ

We have recently bought a Cobb and are absolutley delighted with it, we have used the Australian Heat Beads, but they leave a lot of "Ashes" ( get it !!! ) but they seem to have more heat than the common charcoal briquettes.

My question to fellow Cobbers is, have you tried the Cobblestones, how good or bad are they, and are they worth the money and wait as they seem to be out of stock everywhere I have tried, your views would be greatly appreciated.
