Cleaning the fabric

I have been given advice by an expert car valeter that to clean the carpets I should place them on a clean surface (decking) then have at them with the pressure washer.

What I don’t know however is what is the best way to wash the seat covers and cushions, has anyone used a washing machine?

I’m a bit apprehensive because the seat covers have a piece of foam sewn in to them and perhaps this could damage the washing machine, I have bought an upholsterers needle to take out and replace the button’s, so that’s not a problem, its do I use the washing machine or pressure washer?
