Caravan holiday to Scotland
We live in Fleet in north-east Hampshire and are planning to travel to Scotland in June of this year for a caravan holiday. Our intention is to travel to the Kyle of Lochalsh via a route along the west side of the UK taking in three interesting stopovers
en route.
We plan to stay in the Kyle for approximately two weeks exploring the area, after which we would like to visit Edinburgh, staying for two or three days, then travel back down the east of the country, again breaking the journey with two or three interesting
stops.
I appreciate that this is just a brief summary of our proposed holiday but I would like to know if any members have any sample itineraries which we could use to further develop our plan. Information on key places and areas of interest for our stopovers,
together with site recommendations, would be more than helpful with our planning.
The other thing we are mindful of are narrow roads and conditions that we may have to encounter when travelling in the Highlands so advice on this would also be helpful.
Thank you
