I know this will probably put the cat amongst the Pigeons, but here goes. We have been looking for a replacement for our 3year old Autotrail Savannah. We have been looking at both British and Continental Vans, and as this will probably be our last Motorhome, something a little 'special', even at perhaps a higher cost.  BUT the Continental vans just don't 'Cut the mustard' value wise, I'm talking Carthago, Hymer,Concorde,LeVoyager,Euramobil,Dethleffs, Burstner. None had a layout to suit us, some never even had spark ignition on their Hobs and very few had an oven, and if they did it was at an 'Unsafe height' tucked above the fridge. Most had unecessary 'Extra berths' and travel seats, we are just 2 slightly Disabled Motorhomers. And like our 'Lounging space' and NOT having to climb up to go to Bed. They are VERY expensive even before essential extras like a  Roll out awning are added, some other Items i consider 'standard' like a spare wheel were extra too ! I like the double floors and the quality insulation and wood free construction. BUT without a decent layout, that all comes to nothing if you cannot live in it, in any weather. The outcome is we will probably be keeping the Autotrail for a few more years.  What would you Buy ? and why ?
