Buccaneer design flaw ?

Thought others may be interested to hear of a problem I have had with my Buccaneer Argosy. While doing routine maintenance recently I noticed that at both rear corner locations the black infill strip in the awning rail had been continued under the caravan
floor and stapled to the ply floor covering. The result of this was to provide a very direct route for water to run under the caravan and soak into the ply. It had of course started to delaminate quite badly and so off to the workshop to see what ply I had
to do a repair. I waited till we had a couple of really hot breezey days so the damp would evaporate and then removed any cabling for access and sandwiched the old ply with a covering 4mm layer of new ply, bonded, stapled and screwed, then coated with waxoyl
that had been allowed to thicken slightly before applying. (That way it doesn't drip on you). I trimmed the awning rail strip off and I also bonded a strip of white 13mm right angle pvc to the rear body underside to stop wet getting in from the rear. I have
photos of this repair if anyone else has this problem and  is interested.
