Good for families or are we just anti children?

So why do some members seem to be anti children? After all, it is a well known fact that every single one of us were children once and probably came to our much loved pastime through the actions of enlightened parents.

And there lies my question, what makes a site 'good for families', how do we grade a site to be family friendly or not?

I could, if I wanted to be argumentative, suggest that members may make such judgements about how child friendly a site is for their own selfish reasons but, as I get older, I too may be falling into this category although thankfully, that voice in the back
of my mind finally persuades me to be more tolerant of those who will, with our guidance and nurturing, become the club's future, Now heRubin is, how do we judge the merits of a site. I can recall so many occasions when our very best family holidays took place
on those quiet sites, those sites which lacked the 'facilities' for releasing one's offspring into a feral state whilst adults got on with their own egotistical existence. Indeed, often the sites which had no such facilities demanded that we, our parents,
spent quality family time together enjoying each others company and enriching our family relationships.

It saddens me to read in reviews and elsewhere about 'ankle biters' and other rather derogatory terms such as 'little dears' when referring to children when clearly it's not their behaviour that is behind the comment  but merely the presence of children on
these sites.

For those of us who would wish not to encounter children on our stays, and admittedly I am on occasions one, then adults only sites are the answer. If a site is not adult only then expect to encounter children and expect them to be children!

And now the plea, please don't paint all children, or families for that matter, with the same brush, we are all different and require different things of our sites. However, for children do not read bad behaviour, if children cause a problem for you then blame
the adults!
