Does anyone else have experience towing with a Skoda Superb Greenline Estate? If so I am particularly interested in what type of tow bar you have fitted.

I have the 1.6 diesel version to tow my two birth Compass Corona. It is a company vehicle so I had no choice.

I took delivery in May 2014 and a local tow bar fitting company fitted a Witter fixed flange tow bar and twin electrics soon after.

It had always been a struggle to hitch the ‘van as the tow ball was very low. Unless the jockey wheel was perfectly straight it was a real struggle to get it up into the A frame.

The height measured correctly was 330mm at a maximum.

Earlier this year I got fed up with it and took it back to the fitter to seek advice. To say their response was underwhelming is an overstatement!!

To cut a very long story short I eventually had the tow bar replaced with a Tow Sure which meets all regulations, but it cost me another £200. (which I am extremely upset about)

The original tow bar has gone back to Witter for testing and they have now had it approximately five weeks. I have emailed Witter several times but they are just ignoring me.

Unless I get a response from Witter I'm not sure where to go with this.

Any comments or advice welcomed.
