What happens when it snows

I'm fairly new to the CC, only 1 week, I have been looking at some of the sites, I would like to visit. I was concerned about the reserving and having to cancel due to snow, what is the procedure? Is this a permisable reason for canceling? 

People keep telling me we're going to have snow in November.
