I'm wondering what is the best way to transport a tv when towing..?

ours is a free standing 21.5", but it didn't come with a case or anything.

Ours is simply laid on the fixed bed, underneath the duvet - not had a problem.

We wrap the TV in its plastic dust cover and place it under the duvet on the fixed bed the same as Richard and ros above. Not sure what you would do if you do not have a fixed bed.

Our TV is mounted on a bracket whilst on site but for travelling it goes in a padded bag on the fixed bed.

Don't often take a television but, when I do, it travels in its box under the front bed locker.

The one time we took a TV we put it in the padded bag and put it on the back seat of the car retained by the seat belt

We have quite a substantual bracket but we were advised by the dealer not to travel with it on. Motorhomes  tend to have fairly harsh suspensions so there is the risk of it causing strain on the bracket if the TV is left in place. It would also depend on how the bracket is fixed. If its bolted through a bulkhead then perhaps you could get away with it. Sometimes the use screws/bolts that expand into the bulkhead material and they might not be able to withstand too much flexing. I suppose also the size of the TV might also make a difference. We don't find it a major issue removing the TV on the day of departure and it only takes five minutes to set up once on site.

Ours lives in a purpose designed tambour cupboard! At least I think it is still in there, we never use it! Well, except for the occasional MOTD!Happy We used to wrap in a towel and prop it safely behind cushions in van, if we did indeed take one with us.

I bought a dedicated 'duck's back' padded bag from ebay and it travels in the car under the seat.

+2 for underneath the bedding on the fixed bed.

When we had a two berth it went under the cushions at the front end of the side seat (front end so that it didn't slide under heavy braking)

As some others; under front single bed wrapped in bedding etc!  My nephew used to put his TV on a bed, stopped doing it when he found it on the floor!

We put it on the seats in our rear lounge and put a pillow over it that keeps it safe.

We kept the original box and packaging and use this to protect it in transit. It travels in the car boot as this has a better ride than the caravan.

In a rush to get away last time we were away stuck our TV face down on couple pillows but lay the screen down on top of the plug result being a knackered screen, replaced the TV with a 24" screen but haven't found a padded bag for it yet

We always travel with our TV under the quilt on the fixed bed and always trail the plug on top of the quilt just to remind us that the TV is there.

If I had one it would be wrapped in a blanket or whatever and travel on the bed or seat.

I use to carry my tv in the caravan on the seats, but after 2 tvs not lasting very long decided to get a padded bag for the next tv and it now travels in the boot with no problems. And, it has lasted the longest. I think the caravan suspension is too hard.
