I've caught the rear nearside of my van turning tight whilst setting off (not allowing enough for the rear to swing)

The awning rail has a totally flattened section of about 45cm and on the body side there some bad dings, worst one 10cm by 4cm and nearly 1cm deep

The van is nearly 14 years old

I've bought an awning spreader for the rail but has anyone any suggestions for the body damage
