Hi everyone, i am throwing my line in to find if anyone else has experienced the problem i am having. I have a 1992 Elddis Whirlwind XL, which I have owned from new, over the last couple of years the external door hinges (4 in total) become very stiff when
the sun shines on that side. They make a creaking noise, and there is visible movement in the door frame, due to the stiffness. The hinges are made of alloy, pop riveted on the frame side and screwed on the door side. They have a black plastic cap top and
bottom, and black plastic washers between the two halves. From images i have seen on the Internet, they appear to be made by Ellbee. I have also read that putting oil into the hinge via the removal of the top cap is the worst thing to do, something to do with
the plastic washers. Any help would be most appreciated.

Aerosoll white grease is the answer. Its made by 3m and its plastic/extrusion friendly. Its used on photocopiers printers sunroof tracks etc. Try Fleabay
