Ventura Explorer XL Awning

I am looking to purchase an awning and am considering the Ventura Explorer XL, proceeded to purchase and the sales man advises that as they are all polyester will fade rapidly in strong sunlight, he has shown me a demo model that has faded, just wondered
if anyone has heard of this or  actually owns  one. I have the Isabella Magnum and just want equally as good a make but light and easier to put up for odd days. Now really confused which to go for that will be good abroad. Appreciate any comments
