VW GOLF as a towing car?

Looking to change our car to a VW Golf GTi to tow a Lunar 2 berth Ultima.  As is the normal good old caravan club site is not very helpful and doesn't seem to recognise my request for matching these two. Would appreciate anyone's comments. Thank you.
