Thinking of buying a touring caravan

I'm thinking of buying a second hand touring caravan and would welcome any advice. We're only looking for a cheap second hand one to start with as we are complete novices and have never camped or used a touring caravan before. Any tips on getting the best
deal for second hand vans would be most welcome.
