Damp problems in motorhomes/ caravans

After having water ingress problems in my Bailey Ranger (recently changed to a Hymer Nova because of it and lost money doing so!)  It got me wondering if you motorhomer's out there were experiencing the same problems regarding water ingress as we caravaners
do?The more I read on recent posts here makes one afraid to part with their hard earned cash on something which, given our climate in the UK should be water tight. In this day and age why is it manufacturers can not get the absolute basics right, are we as
consumers being taken for a ride?
