Meteor shower?

Well I've just been outside to see if I was able to see anything of the meteor shower that was on the news earlier but alas it is misty and raining here in West Yorkshire, I can't even see the top of the hills surrounding us never mind the rest of the universe
Boooo, any of you out there able to see anything of that free firework show?
