Please update CL information!

Searching for a CL I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the out of date information. For example, for one particular site, (Parham Hall Farm) the only prices shown are for 2014 and 2015, nothing for 2016.

Other sites simply show a price, nothing to indicate if the details are up to date.

Searching by map, clicked on one site marked as a CL, only to link to an error page. "Sorry but the page you've requested cannot be found. It may have been moved or no longer exists on our website"
Clearly the CL is no more!

Surely it is possible for the CC to check details of CL sites, and keep map information up to date?

We use Cls a lot and bearing in mind how many updates you get in the Club magazine about opening/closure/amendments of CLs I'd quite like the opportunity to get a new handbook every year rather than every two - I might even be convinced to pay towards it
if iI knew it was up to date! This month there were 44 notifications of changes. x12 over a year is...errr...528 changes...

All the more reason that the website should be kept up to date.

I've asked this question in the past with a direct e-mail to HO, but there's been no response. As usual HO seems to be dragging it's feet in keeping CL data up to date.

BTW AlanGL7 have they removed that closed CL from your list of nearby sites yet?

If CL owners have to pay an annual fee to CC Ltd then that's a travesty of a service and not worthy of a large multi million pound company in the liesure industry

mind you CL owners can ensure the information they pass to CC is correct in the first place and badger the club until they get it right

Perhaps it is a duel problem, some CLs don't contact Club with up to date information, and secondly the Club seems rather slow at updating the information that is supplied. SandyG is the member of staff at HQ to contact, according to Champions list. We always
telephone and get correct prices before we book, although I seem to recall that even this didn't work for one visitor, as price had changed when they arrived on site? A while ago now, but sure I am correct?

Its a case of both the club and the owners  forgetting the basics. No excuse at all for details/prices etc to be up to date in the present electronic climate.

NTH - In answer to your question ... no the error still occurs.

For those that don't know what we are talking about Oakleaze is included in the list of 'sites nearby' under the description for my Greenacres CLs however if selected you get an error. The reason - Oakleaze closed at least 2 years ago!

Judging by the number of CLs without a photo, much of the responsibility may lie with the CL owners.

Thanks, Alan. Guess we'll just have to give Johnathon an e-mail and see how good his influence, as a new broom, is.Wink
